Paul has been a practising Safety & Environmental professional for over 17 years and is currently the Head of Health, Safety & Environment and Head of HR for Supply Chain at Wolseley UK which is a part of Wolseley plc, a FTSE 40 company employing over 80,000 employees and operating in 27 countries worldwide. 

 Wolseley plc is the world’s largest specialist trade distributor of plumbing and heating products to professional contractors and a leading supplier of building materials in North America, the UK and Continental Europe.   Paul currently manages a proactive team of Safety and Environmental professionals within UK and regularly meets with his global counterparts to share best practices and benchmark standards. Paul is also the Head of Human Resources for all of Wolseley UK’s Supply Chain operations and also leads Wolseley UK’s efforts and approach to Corporate Responsibility on a wider scale. More recently, has taken responsibility for introducing a new Product Quality function into Wolseley UK. Since joining Wolseley UK in December 2004, Paul has successfully has championed a number of proactive safety and environmental programmes designed to improve performance and reduce costs. These include waste reduction initiatives (backhauling, recycling etc), reducing the company’s carbon footprint, encouraging the purchase of more fuel-efficient vehicles, driving the implementation of ISO14001, and influencing company culture and attitudes towards Environment and Corporate Responsibility matters.  Before joining Wolseley, Paul was employed for 6 years in the transport and logistics industry, working at Ryder, and prior to that in manufacturing in Massey Ferguson for 12 years.
