Paul Sturgeon has spent 30 years in transport and logistics. 

This all started with a commissioned career in the Army with the Royal Corps of Transport. In 1990 Paul resigned his commission and joined TNT where he created the company’s Operations Training Team.  In 1996 with a need to return to operations, Paul left TNT and was recruited into Leigh Environmental as the Head of Logistics for the tanker division.  Following the acquisition of Leigh by the General Water Company of France Paul left and joined Ryder Truck Rental and Logistics as Regional Director in the South East.  Paul is now the Driving Compliance Manager for Wincanton managing occupational road risk, driver legal and operational compliance, training and qualification plus operational advice to managers in an environment of 6,900 commercial vehicle drivers and some 950 company car drivers.
