Colin has specialist knowledge of both UK and global vehicle markets with particular emphasis on developing biofuels, LPG and natural gas in the UK.
Colin has worked for Mobil and BP, and latterly worked as Head of Transport Grant programmes at The Energy Saving Trust, where he was responsible for co-ordinating the requirements of the principal funders (DfT, Scottish executive and the Welsh Assembly Government) and the involvement of industry and transport users. Colin sits on the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Fuels Working Group helping the development of biofuels with the associated carbon and sustainability reporting as well as the Environment Industries Commission Renewable Transport fuels group, the all Party renewable transport fuels group and the Renewable Energy Association. Since setting up his own consultancy he has continued to be an influential figure within the biofuels and alternative fuels industry and during the last 18 months has developed the Morrison B30 forecourt brand in association with Harvest Energy. The trials that have been run have proven the fuel and as a result it is endorsed by a number of vehicle manufacturers.
